Whistling Gardens

It has been 50 years since a private botanical garden has opened its doors to the public in Canada. Voted “Canada's Best New Garden Experience” at the Canadian and International Garden Tourism Awards, this “budding” new garden destination is worth the trip!

Bring your camera and take pleasure in the architecture and old world romantic renaissance ambiance of Norfolk’s 1st botanical gardens.

Stroll on 4 kilometers of accessible walking trails through theme gardens on 20 acres of lush countryside. Whistling Gardens is home to the world’s largest public conifer collection representing over 2,500 (and growing) species, hybrids and cultivars.

Enjoy an exotic Bird Aviary and Canada’s only all stone fountain amphitheater. Enjoy musical water fountain shows as 114-fountain jets using recycled water are choreographed to music using the very latest in computer technology.

Purchase rare and unusual treasures at our retail garden centre, pre-register for a garden workshop or relax in our picnic area. Local Norfolk snacks are also available at ‘The Red Bud’.

Witness the transformation as two Peony Collections are introduced and planted throughout the season. The two collections will present over 700 varieties of peonies, a “Premiere New Canadian Collection” while showcasing an annual floral show of over 900 plants!

Ride the Bine

Ride the Bine a local beer, wine, and cider tour company that works to get people closer to where their food comes from. Amanda & Susan, owners of Ride the Bine both grew up on farms and look to share their love of the beverage and food industry with anyone who will listen! Ride the Bine's fleet of Mercedes-Benz Sprinters will provide a safe and easy way to get to some of the coolest spots in Norfolk County and the London area. Opening in Spring 2017, Ride the Bine began tours in Norfolk County. As an emerging wine region, a craft beer and cider hot spot, as well as a place where almost anything grows, the pair found Norfolk to be the perfect place for the business to begin.
